MAKING OF LARIMAR WEDDING NECKLACE. DETRAS DE CAMARA DEL COLLAR LARIMAR WEDDING.

Larimar wedding is my newest design, as you know, and am Dominican, wanted to use our distinctive stone: the Larimar, took inspiration from this wonderful stone, combining it with Swarovski, and other materials such as gold, to give a touch of sophistication and drama.

The first thing I did was take inspiration as to the forms and styles of some pieces of jewelry and accessories that caught my attention, then I took inspiration from two of my previous designs: the Caribbean Dream Necklace (in which I used Larimar for the first time) using the colors and materials of this necklace, and the Diva Necklace (in which I used techniques that I got better), using his style and drama.

Using beadweaving techniques as: bead embroidery, peyote, netting, right angle weave and square stitch, I create this unique piece of jewelry. Using the color as a universal language, with different shades of blue (representing serenity and harmony), green (representing the hope, and the feelings of freshness), and gold (representing luxury, royalty and drama), combining then with shapes that give us the idea of fluidity and movement and making a great blend of colors, textures, and shapes. Giving life to the union of Larimar with luxury: Larimar Wedding.


Larimar Wedding es mi más reciente diseño, como ya saben soy Dominicano, quería usar nuestra piedra distintiva: el Larimar, tomé inspiración de esta maravillosa piedra, combinándola con el Swarovski, y otros materiales como el oro, para darle un toque de sofisticación y drama.

Lo primero que hice fue tomar inspiración en cuanto a las formas y estilos de algunas piezas de joyería y accesorios que llamaron mi atención, luego tomé inspiración de dos de mis anteriores diseños: el collar Caribbean Dream (en el cual usé Larimar por primera vez), usando el color y materiales de este, y el collar Diva (en el cual usé técnicas que yo mejoré), usando su estilo y drama.

Usando las técnicas del beadweaving como: bead embroidery, peyote, netting, right angle weave and square stitch, he creado esta pieza única de joyería. Usando los colores como un lenguaje universal, con diferentes tonos de azul (representando serenidad y armonía), verde ( representando la esperanza, el la frescura), dorado (representando el lujo, la realeza y el drama), combinándolos con formas que nos dan la idea de fluidez y movimiento, y haciendo de todo esto una gran mezcla de color, texturas y formas. Dando vida a la unión del Larimar con el lujo: Larimar Wedding.
